Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Shift Operations Managers (SOMs) to oversee operations embedded within our client's evolving Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). The SOMs will play a pivotal role in managing personnel on-site, ensuring effective responses to safety and security challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic oversight and practical guidance to Supervisors and team members, addressing all activities and emerging issues during shifts, including security, safety, and business continuity.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate immediate risks to client safety and security, ensuring timely communication of these risks as necessary.
- Crisis Management: Lead initial crisis management efforts during critical incidents and collaborate with regional crisis leads for effective incident escalation.
- Customer Engagement: Deliver exemplary service to clients and stakeholders, fostering a culture of high customer service standards among team members.
- Performance Oversight: Monitor and ensure quality assurance for all tasks completed during shifts, including final product reviews prior to dissemination.
Personnel Management:
- Act as the direct manager for on-shift Supervisors, ensuring appropriate staffing and alignment of responsibilities.
- Support team members in achieving their performance goals and professional development.
- Address performance-related concerns in accordance with company policies.
Strategic Development:
- Contribute to strategic discussions regarding the evolution of GSOC services and customer experience.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures to enhance operational efficacy.
- Identify and implement modern technologies and processes to improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate degree.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a high-pressure environment, such as a Security Operations Center or Crisis Management Center.
- Proven management experience overseeing diverse teams in dynamic settings.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and create metrics that drive continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or relevant professional certifications.
- Eight or more years of experience in high-intensity environments.
- Demonstrated leadership in crisis response situations.
