Job Description:

We are seeking highly skilled professionals to fill the role of Space Propulsion Assembly Mechanic B at our West Palm Beach facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling, mounting, and testing development and production space propulsion systems, components, and rigs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, mount, and test development and production space propulsion systems, components, and rigs
  • Work from procedures, drawings/prints, work instructions, and specifications while interfacing with engineering to meet balancing, assembling, mounting, and testing requirements
  • Assist in the cleaning, assembly, setup, and pressure testing of components, rigs, and facilities
  • Operate and maintain various support equipment, making simple modifications as required
  • Regularly work with mechanics' hand tools and specialty tools on light to medium weight parts
  • Occasionally work in an awkward or strained position using manual or mechanically assisted devices
  • Participate in investigations by analyzing data, diagnosing problems, and recommending solutions
  • Audit records, analyze and compute data, and maintain logs to assure compliance to departmental procedures and customer requirements
  • Comply with Federal and State Environmental and Safety regulations, as well as conform to Company guidelines and procedures for operation of both test facilities and space propulsion systems in assembly areas

Requirements:

  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
  • 1-3 years direct experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
