Job Summary:

The Space Propulsion Test Mechanic A/B/C will be responsible for performing a variety of duties, including assembling, mounting, and testing development and production space propulsion systems, components, and rigs. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, mount, and test development and production space propulsion systems, components, and rigs.
  • Work from procedures, drawings/prints, work instructions, and specifications while interfacing with engineering to meet balancing, assembling, mounting, and testing requirements on new or development hardware.
  • Assist in the cleaning, assembly, setup, and pressure testing of components, rigs, and facilities.
  • Regularly work with mechanics' hand tools and specialty tools on light to medium weight parts.
  • Occasionally work in an awkward or strained position using manual or mechanically assisted devices.
  • Audit records, analyze, and compute data, and maintain logs to assure compliance to departmental procedures and customer requirements.
  • Comply with Federal & State Environmental and Safety regulations, as well as conform to Company guidelines and procedures for operation of both test facilities and space propulsion systems in assembly areas.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum 0-4 years experience.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Two year technical degree, trade school, or equivalent and 3-5 years' experience (desired).
Pay Range:

$32.62 - $47.19 per hour, depending on experience.
