Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Experiential Therapist to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As an Experiential Therapist, you will be responsible for developing, planning, and implementing experiential therapeutic programming for patients/residents. This role requires a strong understanding of psychosocial functioning and the ability to apply expressive and recreational media in a therapeutic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement experiential therapeutic programming based on patients'/residents' needs.
  • Conduct group facilitation and lead therapeutic activities.
  • Evaluate and plan programming to meet patients'/residents' needs.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote a positive, team-oriented approach to care.
  • Participate in mentorship and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in a related field, preferably in recreation, art, music, dance, psychodrama, or other expressive therapies.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in group facilitation in a behavioral health setting.
  • Certification/registration through the appropriate credentialing board desired.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification or American Red Cross Professional Rescue required.
  • Formal training in management of the aggressive patient required.
