About the Role:

Become a vital member of our team at Rogers Behavioral Health as an Experiential Therapist II. In this capacity, you will be tasked with designing, planning, and executing therapeutic programs tailored to the unique needs of our patients. You will also take on a mentorship role, guiding and coordinating team members to ensure seamless department operations in the absence of leadership. We seek an individual with a robust background in expressive and recreational therapies, adept at engaging with diverse patient populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and advocate for a collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Provide guidance and integrate group dynamics into therapeutic sessions.
  • Communicate effectively and address challenges with composure.
  • Engage in mentorship initiatives and support the training of new staff members.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and assist in educating staff on compliance matters.
  • Lead experiential therapy sessions and organize special initiatives such as Pet Therapy or outdoor activities.
  • Accurately complete documentation and treatment plans in a timely manner.
  • Monitor patient behavior and intervene as necessary to maintain safety.
  • Oversee student interns and contribute to the development of internship program policies.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Master's degree or certification in a pertinent therapy discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in behavioral health environments.
  • Valid driver's license and CPR certification.
  • Training in managing challenging patient behaviors.
  • Compliance with specific training prerequisites for the position.
