As a Valet Supervisor at LAZ Parking, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our valet locations. Under the direction of the Valet Manager, you will oversee the daily activities of the valet team, ensuring that our high standards of customer service and operational excellence are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management and development of the valet team to achieve annual and periodic goals and initiatives.
  • Identify high-potential employees to support the organization's continued growth and success.
  • Support the Valet Manager with valet time entries into the payroll system, scheduling valet shifts, valet training, and other related tasks.
  • Responsible for payroll processing, ensuring timely sign-off on hours, and collaborating with the local payroll department to ensure accurate pay data.
  • Responsible for assisting with the opening of newly assigned locations and ensuring adherence to budget and revenue enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and business retention strategies.
  • Organize and narrate valet parking management skills for Team Leaders and frontline staff.
  • Assist the region with operations preparation for potential new locations, including valet services and other related tasks.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial and operational reports as required.
  • Ensure maximum revenue, managed expenses, and customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest level of service thresholds and initiatives aligned with client expectations.
  • Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of Team Leaders and frontline staff.
  • Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives as assigned.
  • Communicate with local police departments and emergency management teams related to claims and daily operations.
  • Assist with monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing market rate structures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience desired.
  • 1+ years in management or supervisory role.
  • 2-4 years of previous experience working in a valet environment.
  • Experience leading a group of 10-20 individuals.
  • Previous experience working in high-stress situations with tight deadlines and high customer expectations.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and General Microsoft Office Applications.

Skills:

  • Valet parking management experience is highly preferred but not required.
  • Ability to seek improvement and create an environment of idea sharing and creative problem solving.
  • Capable of handling employee conflict, following grievance procedures, mediating, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong customer service skills and abilities.
  • Ability to be approachable and facilitate coaching conversations with employees and managers.

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
