Job Overview

Washington City is seeking a skilled Lifeguard to ensure pool patron safety at our facility. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe and clean environment, enforce pool rules, and respond to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform lifeguarding duties, including scanning assigned areas of water and recognizing potential emergency situations.
  • Enforce all pool rules and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe environment for patrons.
  • Assist in first aid and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Maintain the pool area, restrooms, and locker rooms to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Work under the general direction of the Aquatics Manager, Aquatics Coordinator, Pool Supervisor, and/or Head Guards.
Requirements
  • Current Red Cross lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to be courteous to fellow employees and pool patrons.
  • Must be at least 15 years old.
Work Environment

The incumbent of this position performs in a typical pool setting with appropriate climate controls and typical settings associated with indoor/outdoor recreation. Tasks require a variety of physical activities, and communicating with employees and patrons is essential to job effectiveness.
