Job Summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a skilled Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer to support the development, production, and deployment of Launch Equipment hardware and systems for the Air Force's Sentinel program. This role is located in Roy, UT, and requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, CAD modeling, and product life cycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Research, develop, and plan mechanical components, equipment, and systems used in ground operational hardware

Perform detailed hardware design, including part selection, schematic development, and CAD modeling

Support the mechanical design of multiple ground distribution boxes

Provide technical solutions to complex problems within Launch Equipment

Collaborate with users, customers, and other engineers to develop and deploy hardware and systems

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8 years of experience, or Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or PhD with 4 years of experience

Active DoD Secret clearance granted or reviewed within the past 6 years

Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAP) as a condition of continued employment

Experience with CAD modeling using design tools such as Siemens NX or similar

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering scheduling tools
