Position Overview:
This role involves assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the guidance of a registered nurse or healthcare provider. You will play a crucial part in ensuring a smooth and efficient healthcare experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with treatment plans as directed by healthcare providers.
2. Conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs, and accurately document patient information.
3. Prepare examination rooms to ensure a clean and organized environment.
4. Perform essential clerical tasks, including answering calls, maintaining records, and scheduling appointments.
5. Manage inventory by ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
6. Document patient encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
7. Maintain a safe and alert working environment.
8. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and eligibility for MA certification or LPN License is preferred.
- Open to candidates with EMT or paramedic backgrounds.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent communication and interaction with patients and staff.
- Capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Relevant medical assistant certifications are preferred.
Work Schedule:
This position typically requires a commitment of 36 hours per week, primarily during daytime hours.
