Insurance Underwriting Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review new and renewal policies for accuracy and completeness
  • Support the development of accurate policy recommendations for existing and prospective customers
  • Document and communicate policy approvals or rejections to the underwriting team, insurance agents, supervisors, and clients
  • Compile data and analytics for reports that inform insurance policy guidelines and coverage decisions
  • Collaborate with underwriters and clients to collect and assess insurance information
  • Track, manage, and prioritize insurance policy applications and services
Requirements:
  • Stellar communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, finance, or a related field
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills to collect and maintain insurance customer information
  • Experience in the insurance industry or as an administrative assistant is a plus
  • Designation as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is preferred but not required
