Position Overview:


The Client Services Associate I (CSA I) plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding support to clients while assisting them with a variety of transactions, reviewing checks, promoting credit union offerings, and ensuring daily cash drawer accuracy.

CSA I's engage with clients directly in a dynamic setting and are tasked with addressing their immediate needs. They must actively promote Launch Credit Union's products and services to enhance the financial health of each client.

CSA I's are also accountable for adhering to all safety and compliance protocols to safeguard the assets of Launch Credit Union and its clients, ensuring effective communication, and swiftly resolving client inquiries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates a range of transactions (e.g., deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing, cash buys, and sales).
  • Reviews checks for authenticity and processes them through the check scanning system. Determines and applies necessary holds on checks in compliance with regulations. Addresses alerts on client records as needed.
  • Balances cash drawer and verifies daily transactions. Accurately tracks all cash and monetary instruments, following established cash handling and balancing protocols.
  • Confirms client identity and interacts with clients in accordance with service standards.
  • Informs clients about credit union offerings. Identifies client needs for additional products/services and refers them to branch representatives and business partners.
  • Aims to meet production targets.
  • Addresses client issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding all information obtained.
  • Monitors the client-tracking system and assists clients in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates with Member Solutions regarding client payments when necessary.
  • Ensures compliance with all operational procedures to maintain accuracy, manage risk, prevent fraud, and protect clients.


  • Issues replacement debit and credit cards.
  • Completes the End of Day balance sheet.

Additional Duties:

  • Supports other CSA I's as required.
  • Scans documents into the document retention system as necessary.
  • Processes check orders.
  • Organizes daily work for the branch.
  • Checks for updates via email.
  • Processes and balances the ATM and posts night drop transactions.
  • Prepares coin bags for shipment.
  • May assist clients with their Safe Deposit Boxes.
  • Adheres to all Launch Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Completes compliance training assignments promptly.
  • Participates in meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Performs other assigned duties.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of one year of sales experience and/or experience in identifying client needs.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability and willingness to identify client needs and make suitable product/service recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in interactions with others for the purpose of information exchange, relationship building, or cooperation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient mathematical skills and accurate cash handling abilities.
  • Proficient in computer use with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn software applications and systems.
  • Knowledgeable or able to quickly learn applicable regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
