Job Summary

At Dignity Health, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and service. As a Patient Registration Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience throughout the registration process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and thorough patient demographic data collection
  • Obtain and verify insurance information and benefits
  • Determine and collect patient financial liability
  • Refer patients to the Patient Registration Specialist as needed for financial counseling and/or clearance
  • Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures for resolution of patient financial liability
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital Patient Registration department, physician office setting, healthcare insurance company, revenue cycle vendor, or other revenue cycle related roles
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Thorough understanding of insurance policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Able to perform basic mathematics for payment calculation
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of charity care programs and government and non-government programs
  • 2 years of experience preferred
