Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Monitor to join our team at the County of Chester. As a Security Monitor, you will be responsible for monitoring the premises of our facilities, ensuring the safety and security of our employees, visitors, and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to potential security threats
  • Screen and confiscate unauthorized items, including weapons and recording devices
  • Conduct thorough searches of individuals and their belongings
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to visitor inquiries
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of security incidents
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on security protocols and procedures
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary clearances
Preferred Qualifications
  • Corrections or law enforcement experience
  • Basic knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Work Environment

The Security Monitor will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to noise and stress. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, walk, and move quickly in response to emergency situations.
