About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies, including troubleshooting and reporting equipment problems.
  • Decontaminate and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies, and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with difficult airway management and provide support to anesthesia providers.
  • Transport and distribute anesthesia-related equipment and supplies, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in turning over rooms to minimize downtime between cases.
  • Retrieve and distribute necessary medications and equipment to anesthesia providers.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Minimum of one year experience working in a healthcare setting or successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or similar healthcare-related training program.
  • Direct patient care and/or surgical/OR environment experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Extended periods walking, standing, lifting, and carrying equipment (usually not over 20 lbs.).
  • Capable of pushing and maneuvering equipment weighing up to 150 pounds.
  • May be exposed to bodily fluids.
