Job Summary:

As a key member of the MetroHealth System's anesthesia team, the Anesthesia Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our perioperative services. This leadership position oversees the maintenance of anesthesia equipment, coordinates the activities of anesthesia technicians, and upholds the highest standards of quality and patient care.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct supervision to anesthesia technicians, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and supplies to perform their duties effectively.
Oversee the maintenance of anesthesia equipment, including setup, calibration, cleaning, and minor repairs.
Coordinate the orientation, training, and scheduling of anesthesia technician personnel.
Monitor the productivity and effectiveness of the Anesthesia Technician positions, ensuring they meet quality and performance expectations.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent, with experience in perioperative protocols, clinical anesthesia, allied health, nursing, or military medical support.
Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) and demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology, PC skills, and electronic device usage in the perioperative environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, lead a team, and interact effectively with diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five years of experience in clinical anesthesia, allied health, nursing, or military medical support, with leadership/supervisory experience and certification as a Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.).
