Sales Representative Job Summary:

The Sales Representative will have the ability to conduct marketing and local outreach in the community to meet daily goals.

The purpose of the Sales Representative is to contact potential, referrals, and industry peers and inform them of our products, key features, and potential promotions.

You will be contacting individuals requesting needs directly, obtaining their information to be communicated to our sales department, then operations and manufacturing for order review and preparation.


Sales Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend industry conferences and events.
  • Accurately describe products and services offered at Golden Boat Lifts and leave marketing materials with referral sources.
  • Obtain customers' information and assist in taking calls from individuals requesting assistance or inquiring about boat lifts.
  • Schedule lunches for perspective local professional referral sources.
  • Respond to questions from individuals requesting services and promote Golden Boat Lifts clearly, with integrity, honesty, and loyalty to the mission statement.
  • Achieve daily marketing goals as outlined by the supervisor (weekly updated CRM).
  • Work as a marketing team to drive results.
  • Work autonomously as a self-starter regarding daily activities.
  • Demonstrate competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.
  • Maintain attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
  • Comply with all ongoing required work trainings.
  • Complete goals, tasks, and performance measures as outlined by submitting weekly, monthly reports, and quarterly marketing plans.
  • Submit reports as directed by the Business Development Manager.
  • Any additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, regarding team goals.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing and coordinating a variety of duties and tasks for the Business Development Manager.
  • Updating and adding regular social media posts.
  • Employee will utilize CRM software while working in the community.
  • Input orders clearly and accurately.

Requirements:

  • Must have marine experience.
  • Golden Boat Lifts product knowledge, existing and new.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective presentation of program details and philosophy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or other specific business and program/office-related software.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • HS diploma or higher, minimum 1 year of marketing experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Completed health screening questionnaire.
  • Cleared background check.
  • Provided at least two professional references.
  • Completed applications, resume, and education if requested.
