The schedule may vary depending on the plant, with options for Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM or 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned machines after setup by area supervisor, lead person, or setup person.
- Make adjustments as needed to produce parts in accordance with tolerances and specifications.
- Inspect parts to ensure compliance with requirements using micrometers, verniers, gages, fixtures, and other measuring equipment.
- Recognize and report the need for adjustments and tool sharpening.
- Report any problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances immediately to supervision.
- Exercise good machine practices at all times.
- Responsible for production, both quality and quantity.
- Maintain accurate production records and data as required.
- Maintain the area, equipment, and tools in a neat and orderly condition.
- Observe all company policies, rules, and regulations, including good housekeeping, safety, and security.
- Perform other duties as required, assigned, or directed.
Requirements:
- High School or GED preferred
- 3 months to 1 year or more of experience
- Machining experience preferred but not required
- Capacity to understand measurement and inspection devices
- Able to interpret blueprints
- Understand part placement to achieve optimum efficiency
