The schedule may vary depending on the plant, with options for Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM or 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned machines after setup by area supervisor, lead person, or setup person.
  • Make adjustments as needed to produce parts in accordance with tolerances and specifications.
  • Inspect parts to ensure compliance with requirements using micrometers, verniers, gages, fixtures, and other measuring equipment.
  • Recognize and report the need for adjustments and tool sharpening.
  • Report any problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances immediately to supervision.
  • Exercise good machine practices at all times.
  • Responsible for production, both quality and quantity.
  • Maintain accurate production records and data as required.
  • Maintain the area, equipment, and tools in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Observe all company policies, rules, and regulations, including good housekeeping, safety, and security.
  • Perform other duties as required, assigned, or directed.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED preferred
  • 3 months to 1 year or more of experience
  • Machining experience preferred but not required
  • Capacity to understand measurement and inspection devices
  • Able to interpret blueprints
  • Understand part placement to achieve optimum efficiency
