Position Overview:
This position is for a Cybersecurity Operations Administrator who will be integral to the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team. The role focuses on delivering ongoing support services for various applications within a defense organization. The work can primarily be conducted remotely, with some requirements for on-site presence. This role includes a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement, configure, and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems such as Splunk and/or Elasticsearch within the Cyber Incident Response framework.
  • Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities affecting organizational IT assets, develop rules and filtering methodologies for risk assessment, and ensure accurate reporting to the SIEM system.
  • Collaborate with teams to uphold web application security protocols, address identified vulnerabilities, and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Analyze and respond to Cyber Tasking Orders, validate security measures, and recommend improvements to technical security settings.
Work closely with stakeholders to convert technical goals into actionable requirements, engage with Cyber Security Service Providers, and coordinate with customer Information System Security Officers (ISSO) and Information System Security Managers (ISSM).

Required Skills:
STIG, IAVM.

Essential Qualifications:
1. CompTIA Security+ certification
2. IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
3. Baseline DoD Instruction M certification (typically Security+ CE).

Experience Level:
Expert Level
