Job Title: Quality Control Engineer Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Engineer Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of measurement systems, instruments, and processes. This role will provide technical assistance on inspection systems, methods, and processes to meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the inspection lab activities, including workload assignment, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with metrology procedures and best practices for inspection processes.
  • Perform complex calibrations and measurements and provide technical expertise and guidance to staff as needed.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to determine inspection and equipment requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and engineering, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement metrology procedures, protocols, and work instructions to ensure consistency and accuracy of inspection processes.
  • Assist in maintaining metrology/inspection equipment, documentation, maintenance logs, and equipment specifications.
  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives to enhance metrology/inspection processes, techniques, and efficiency for production.
  • Stay current with advancements in metrology technology, standards, and regulations through training and professional development activities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Metrology, Engineering, or a related field, or 7 years of experience in metrology or quality assurance with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles, standards, and methodologies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well with team members and members of other departments at various levels.
  • Intermediate level SAP or ERP experience, strong MS Office skills.
  • Eligible to work in an ITAR environment.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • 20/20 unaided or corrected vision.
