About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Graduate Nurse (GN) to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Medical Surgical Unit Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Unit, utilizing the nursing process and patient-family centered care principles.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Document patient education and learning in the health record, ensuring accurate and timely communication with the healthcare team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Associates or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years for GN or RN with less than 1 year of experience.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) required within 60 days of hire.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
