POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves researching and reconciling data from diverse sources utilizing various systems and tools to ensure timely and accurate distribution of royalty payments.

LOCATION

This position is based in the Nashville, TN office, where a hybrid work schedule is currently in place. Most team members are expected to work in the office three days a week, with future transitions being evaluated as necessary to prioritize employee safety.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines pertinent to the registration and maintenance of musical works submitted by affiliated writers and publishers.
  • Addressing day-to-day operational inquiries.
  • Leveraging experience and knowledge to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of software, system tools, and reports.
  • Contributing to various areas of the department as required.
  • Engaging in continuous training initiatives.
  • Maintaining regular attendance.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Upholding the organization's core values and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education: A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in music business is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one year in the music business, music publishing, or a related field is required, with internships in music business being advantageous.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Essential skills and abilities include:

  • Familiarity with document retrieval software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in a foreign language is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of at least one musical genre; familiarity with multiple genres is preferred for more complex roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proactive initiative.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.

SALARY RANGE

The specific base salary offered will depend on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change based on various internal and external factors. The position may also qualify for performance-based bonuses. In addition to cash compensation, a competitive benefits portfolio is available to employees.
