Position Summary

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a robust risk oversight framework that aligns with fair housing and lending regulations. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating the fair lending risks across the organization and collaborating with various business units to identify and address potential compliance issues.

Your Contributions
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Establish and refine requirements for risk identification and self-assessment processes within business units.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring, targeted reviews, and comprehensive gap analyses, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Assist colleagues in generating insightful analyses and reports that highlight potential fair housing and lending risks.
  • Review and enhance the outputs of team members prior to submission for management evaluation.
  • Identify and resolve issues independently, demonstrating innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Lead strategic initiatives with minimal oversight, showcasing your ability to think outside the box.
  • Make informed decisions and provide sound judgment on various projects, effectively engaging with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Evaluate the severity and likelihood of fair housing and lending risks, prioritizing resources accordingly.
  • Present findings and analyses to senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications

Essential Experience

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in fair lending and housing risk analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify challenges and propose effective solutions through creative and critical thinking.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in preparing comprehensive reports and documentation of findings.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong time management skills, with a proven track record of completing projects efficiently.
  • Experience in identifying and escalating compliance issues to management.
  • Ability to gather and synthesize information to clarify concepts and address key inquiries.
  • Proven relationship management skills, fostering collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent educational background.
  • Experience in data analysis to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Previous experience within a financial institution or regulatory body.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, including collaboration with legal and compliance professionals.
