Position Summary

The Support Specialist (Recovery Specialist) plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and structured environment within our program. This includes monitoring client activities, engaging in treatment services, and supervising clients both on-site and during off-site activities. Regular well-being checks every 30 minutes are a key responsibility of this role.

Compensation

Starting at $19.00 per hour, with additional differentials for shifts and weekends.

Work Schedule

This position requires full-time overnight shifts, including rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and structured environment by monitoring client activities.
  • Supervise clients and conduct 30-minute well-being checks.
  • Conduct searches of client belongings upon admission and discharge as directed.
  • Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping promptly in accordance with agency policies.
  • Maintain a professional and therapeutic demeanor in all client interactions.
  • Collaborate with staff to implement program objectives and philosophy.
  • Facilitate and document daily group sessions.
  • Participate in required supervision, training, and meetings.
  • Assess and record vital signs (Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Respirations, Temperatures).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Experience with substance use populations is preferred.
  • Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Commitment to working with individuals facing addiction and a passion for teamwork in a treatment setting.
