Job Summary

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing, analyzing results, and providing accurate diagnoses to patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory testing, including routine and advanced procedures
  • Analyze test results and provide accurate diagnoses to patients
  • Develop and implement new laboratory testing methods and procedures
  • Train and orient new employees, students, and residents
  • Interact with laboratory customers, including physicians and other healthcare professionals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a laboratory science or a related field, or an Associate degree in a laboratory science with certification
  • Experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital laboratory
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory information systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • ASCP categorical certification
  • Experience in high-complexity testing
  • Knowledge of laboratory information systems and medical terminology
