Position Summary

The Service Desk Associate plays a crucial role in managing service desk operations, facilitating membership sales, and ensuring the cleanliness of the facility and its equipment. This individual will deliver exceptional customer service to both members and guests, maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome all members and guests upon entry and bid farewell upon exit.
  • Oversee club access for members and guests.
  • Address inquiries and resolve complaints from members and guests.
  • Handle incoming calls and provide information to potential members.
  • Conduct tours for prospective members.
  • Process membership sales, draft agreements, and input new member data into the system.
  • Utilize the Point-of-Sale system and manage outstanding account balances.
  • Organize and maintain the customer service front desk area.
  • Schedule appointments for fitness training sessions.
  • Perform regular facility inspections every 20 minutes and complete necessary checklists.
  • Assist in training new employees by providing guidance and support.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures for shifts.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the club, including:
    • Cleaning equipment and surrounding areas.
    • Dusting and wiping surfaces as needed.
    • Vacuuming and mopping floors.
    • Restocking supplies such as toilet paper and soap.
    • Emptying waste receptacles.
    • Organizing cleaning supplies.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, valuing contributions from all team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Prior experience in customer service or sales is advantageous.
  • Experience in cleaning or maintenance is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills are required.

Work Environment & Requirements
  • Primarily an indoor setting with standard exposure to light, sound, and temperature variations.
  • Must be able to frequently walk, stand, bend, and reach.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry at least 60 lbs.
  • Familiarity with operating cleaning equipment.
  • Exposure to common cleaning agents and chemicals.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and share information clearly.
