About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Diagnostic Medical Physicist to join our team at Apex Physics Partners. As a leading provider of diagnostic imaging solutions, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of medical physics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine audits of compliance records related to equipment registration, regulations, and Radiation Protection Programs.
  • Evaluate and characterize image quality to ensure optimal performance levels.
  • Provide consultation to clients on facility design, shielding requirements, and radiation safety.
  • Oversee and review technologist quality control programs.
  • Attend hospital Radiation Safety Committee and Radiation Protocol Committee meetings.
  • Consult with technologists, radiologists, and Radiation Safety Officer on clinical protocol management and radiation safety.
Requirements
  • Board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Medical Physics, or board eligibility.
  • Clinical experience in diagnostic imaging, including general radiation safety and clinical protocols.
  • Technical experience and understanding of state regulations, ACR and TJC criteria, and compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and seek viable solutions.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for clients and colleagues.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while wearing a lead apron.
  • Lift and move test equipment cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Drive between client facilities, with occasional evening or weekend work.
  • Communicate with colleagues and clients on a frequent basis.
