Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic X-Ray Technologist to join our team at North Star Diagnostic Imaging. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic X-ray procedures, focusing on patient care and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging
  • Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and other stakeholders
  • Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions
  • Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
Requirements
  • Graduate from an X-ray Certified program
  • Texas Medical Board and ARRT registration required
  • Dependent upon experience
Work Environment
