We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Admissions Nurse Practitioner to join our team at University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS). As a key member of our Admissions Department, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of potential patients, obtaining insurance authorizations, and completing physician orders for admissions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing, with a minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting. You will be expected to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of potential patients
  • Obtain insurance authorizations
  • Complete physician orders for admissions
  • Review potential admissions from medical referral sources
  • Process admissions

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Current RN State License
  • Previous experience in behavioral health preferred
