Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MS Technology Teacher to join our team at Gateway Charter School. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a flexible program and classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction/Education Responsibilities
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
    • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
    • Provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technology education.
  • Classroom Environment
    • Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
    • Establish clear expectations and routines to ensure a productive and organized classroom.
    • Encourage student participation and feedback to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Instructional Planning
    • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that address diverse learning needs and abilities.
    • Use data-driven instruction to inform teaching practices and improve student outcomes.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
  • School/Community Relations
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a sense of community and support.
    • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and needs.
    • Participate in school-wide initiatives and events to promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of success in teaching technology education to students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology and educational trends.
