Job Title: Business Professor
Job Summary:
Pacific Oaks College and Children's School is seeking a highly qualified Business Professor to join our team of adjunct faculty. As a Business Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in business and management, as well as providing academic support to students.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and develop courses in business and management, including courses such as business law, finance, marketing, and human resources.
- Develop and manage course syllabi, ensuring that they meet department and college standards.
- Plan and create lectures, video lectures, narrated PowerPoints, class discussions, and assignments.
- Grade assigned papers and provide detailed feedback.
- Assess grades for students based on participation, performance in the class, assignments, and presentations.
- Participate in the assessment and learning process.
- Collaborate with colleagues on course curriculum and advise students on how to be successful in class.
- Stay updated on innovations and changes within the course field.
- Familiarity with CANVAS, Pacific Oaks' learning management system.
- Participate in Pacific Oaks College functions.
- Market and promote the BSBA program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- MBA, Master's Degree, PhD or Doctorate in Business, Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Relevant current professional experience.
- Official Transcript and 2 letters of recommendation.
- College level teaching experience and working with adult learners.
- Communicate effectively using Canvas, Pacific Oaks College's learning management system (LMS) and Pacific Oaks College email.
- Proficiency with technology such as internet tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, LMS and other platforms and software systems.
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to support the mission of Pacific Oaks College.
