Key Responsibilities:


Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Organize initial site assessments, feasibility studies, and preliminary design reviews.
  • Develop and communicate comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling.

Project Execution and Oversight:

  • Ensure team accountability regarding scope, schedule, budget, and communication.
  • Monitor internal budget by tracking phase code logging and hours spent.
  • Coordinate and manage the project team, including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identify client requirements, approximate budgets, timelines, and potential future needs.
  • Oversee client preferences regarding materials, styles, colors, and other design variables.
  • Collaborate with the team to prioritize client needs versus desires.
  • Assist in resolving issues or conflicts during construction.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation to help clients define their vision.
  • Ensure accurate submission of scale drawings and contract requirements for bids.
  • Collaborate with clients to select and award construction contracts.
  • Track and manage internal project expenses.
  • Oversee change orders and maintain accurate project records.
  • Implement project management best practices and quality assurance procedures.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Conduct regular project meetings, including team discussions, design reviews, and progress updates.
  • Foster positive relationships with team members, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Lead the project team throughout the lifecycle, proactively addressing potential issues.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage project risks throughout the lifecycle, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Project Closure and Evaluation:

  • Conduct post-project evaluations to analyze successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Prepare and present project reports, including financial analysis and performance metrics.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Director.
  • Collaborate with other Project Managers to ensure efficient staffing of projects.
  • Foster and monitor the development of team members.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over five years of proven experience as an Architectural Project Coordinator, preferably in construction practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality projects.
  • Registration, licensure, or certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and green building practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and consultation skills.
  • Ability to translate client ideas into visual references such as drawings or models.
  • Knowledge of architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines; building construction; cost estimating; and building codes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
