To ensure the reliability and protection of electrical infrastructure, we are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team.

The preferred locations for this role are Buffalo, Rochester or Syracuse, New York.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of electrical frameworks, and detection and correction of faults in existing electrical systems.
  • Always carry standard equipment and parts.
  • Perform inspections, conduct assessments, and work with customers to determine issues warranting attention.
  • Perform installation and restoration work on electrical frameworks.
  • Communicate with customers, perform own inspections to diagnose and tend to each task.
  • Work under minimal supervision.
  • Critical thinker with experience in all facets of electrical work.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and ability to mentor apprentices on team.
  • Ability to choose most apt course of action for project constraints.
  • Select, install, preserve functionality of wires, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, and switchboards.
  • Set up and maintain electrical machines.
  • Monitor inventory to ensure adequate stock.
  • Log time and resources spent on each task to calculate costs.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations.
  • Acts as company qualifier for electrical contractor licenses in multiple states.
  • Install and service industrial equipment, including DC power systems
  • Supervise internal/subcontractor teams installing or servicing industrial equipment.
Eligibility Requirements

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Completion of a relevant apprenticeship
  • Valid state license permitting practicing as journeyman electrician.
  • Four years of experience as a journeyman electrician
  • Ability and willingness to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
  • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time with overnight stays.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain Electrical Contractor Qualifier Licenses or reciprocity in multiple states as required for OmniOn Power.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited university
  • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Prior field engineering experience
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in telco, data center or other critical power facilities
