Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trades Specialist (Electrician) to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing electrical work, including planning and laying out work, diagnosing trouble in electrical systems or equipment, and repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform journeyman level electrical duties
  • Work with a wide variety of control equipment, including building heating, air conditioning, and ventilating equipment controls
  • Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment
  • Train and supervise others
  • Ability to climb ladders, work from scaffolding and mechanical lifts

Requirements:

  • Four years of full-time experience in the electrical trade under a skilled tradesperson
  • Successful completion of the two-year Trades Specialist (Electrician) traineeship or a two-year electrician training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program
  • Working knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the electrical trade
  • Ability to use the tools, machines, equipment, and material of the craft or crafts to which assigned
