Software Engineer Job Description

JLL is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that leverage Azure, Databricks, Azure Kubernetes, Microservices, and Data Pipeline using PySpark.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand software requirements.
  • Design and develop software solutions using Azure services, Databricks, Azure Kubernetes, Microservices, and PySpark.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using PySpark, ensuring high data quality and reliability.
  • Optimize software performance and ensure scalability and robustness of the developed solutions.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to deploy and operationalize machine learning models.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and operational issues.
  • Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and tools in the software engineering space.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and best practices within the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Strong experience working with Azure cloud services, Databricks, and Azure Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in building and deploying microservices architecture.
  • Solid understanding and experience with data pipelines using PySpark.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with other programming languages such as Java or Scala.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Apache Spark.
