Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computational biology and a passion for understanding the intricacies of van der Waals forces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments to investigate the role of van der Waals forces in histone posttranslational modifications
  • Develop and implement computational programs to analyze and visualize data
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement new research projects
  • Train and mentor undergraduate students in computational biology techniques
  • Contribute to the preparation of research proposals and manuscripts
Requirements
  • PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field
  • Strong background in programming languages such as Python and C++
  • Experience with computational protein design and molecular dynamics simulations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with deep learning models and algorithms for protein design
  • Knowledge of bioinformatics and protein structure modeling
  • Experience working with protein structures and molecular dynamics simulations
Working Conditions
