Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at the Arizona State Government. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment, including large vehicles and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as loaders, graders, and excavators, to perform tasks such as road maintenance, construction, and repair.
  • Maintain and perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Perform operator-level maintenance on vehicles and equipment, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Perform manual labor tasks, such as cleaning and preparing work sites, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Prepare and submit reports on equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs to management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, such as loaders, graders, and excavators.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
