We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pentaho Developer to participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of applications developed for our clients.

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will work closely with solution architects and leads to develop and implement large-scale projects in the financial industry using Data Warehousing ETL tools (Pentaho).

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Vertica, Oracle, Denodo, and similar databases, as well as in-depth technical knowledge as a Pentaho ETL developer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in technical planning and requirements gathering phases, including design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
  • Ensuring that technical software development processes are followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development.
  • Demonstrating the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience levels.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Experience in OLAP and OLTP and data warehousing and data model concepts.
  • Significant experience in Vertica, Oracle, Denodo, and similar kind of databases.
  • Must have in-depth technical knowledge as a Pentaho ETL developer and should feel comfortable working within large internal and external data sets.
  • Experienced in Design, Development, and Implementation of large-scale projects in financial industries using Data Warehousing ETL tools (Pentaho).
  • Experience in creating ETL transformations and jobs using Pentaho Kettle Spoon designer and Pentaho Data Integration Designer and scheduling.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL statements, stored procedures, dynamic SQL queries, batches, scripts, functions, triggers, views, cursors, and query optimization.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
  • Working knowledge of source control tools such as GitLab.
  • Good in PDI architecture.
