Position Overview

As a Rental Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering and retrieving equipment and supplies from customer job sites using vehicles with a gross weight of less than 26,000 pounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and secure equipment effectively.
  • Transport equipment and supplies over long distances.
  • Demonstrate proper equipment usage to customers upon delivery.
  • Service equipment as necessary to maintain optimal operating conditions.
  • Communicate equipment issues clearly with customers and the Service Manager to ensure satisfaction.
  • Refuel equipment on-site as required.
  • Conduct safety inspections on equipment and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Keep the work vehicle clean and safe.
  • Adhere to all company and safety regulations.
  • Complete inspection reports for outgoing and returned equipment, ensuring compliance with D.O.T. and company record-keeping standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries and present information effectively.
  • Mathematical skills for basic calculations.
  • Problem-solving skills to analyze data and draw conclusions.
  • Preferred 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tractor-trailer operation.
  • Must possess and safely use mechanic's tools.
  • Familiarity with safety requirements for equipment handling is a plus.
  • Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends and holidays.
