**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide academic counseling to student-athletes, including coordinating study hall activities, tutoring, and course approval.
* Communicate with student-athletes, coaches, and administrative staff regarding academic records and NCAA eligibility.
* Monitor student-athletes' progress toward degree completion and make recommendations on academic suspension and dismissal petitions.
* Counsel student-athletes on course and major selection, study skills, time management, and career choices.
* Identify at-risk student-athletes and work with the Learning Specialist, coaching staff, and other departments to ensure necessary support and monitoring.
* Maintain confidential student files and records, adhering to NCAA, conference, and University regulations.
* Utilize the SPIRE registration and records system to monitor and update internal academic records.
* Meet with prospective student-athletes to disseminate information on the Academic Success program and University academic requirements.
* Provide referrals to the Office of Athletic Health Enhancement and campus resources as needed.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in academic support services.
* Advanced oral and written communication skills.
* Working knowledge of computers and student database systems.
* Prior experience with NCAA rules and regulations.
* Ability to work evenings and weekends.
* Ability to foster and maintain working relationships with various constituencies.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master's degree in counseling, education, or a related field.
* 1 year of experience in intercollegiate athletics academic support services.
**Work Schedule:**
* Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Evenings and weekends may be required.
**Salary Information:**
* Level 25
