Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Instructional Aide to join our team at Kennedy-Longfellow School. As an Instructional Aide, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide a nurturing environment that respects and honors the individual needs of all children, while also challenging them to meet high academic standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to plan and implement instructional activities, including small and large group instruction.
  • Assist in developing units of study and assessing student progress.
  • Provide individualized support to students as needed.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other meetings as required.
  • Conduct lunch and recess activities, accompany children to specialists, and participate in field trips.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the teacher or school administration.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree or 48 college credits.
  • Previous experience working with elementary students in an urban, multicultural setting.
  • A respect for differences in experiences and the development of children.
  • The ability to work with children in both small and large groups in activity-based classroom settings.
