About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company. As a Senior Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing complex power and other building systems, including generator plants, medium voltage distribution, uninterruptible power systems, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding. You will lead projects and a team of electrical engineers, producing high-quality technical and professional deliverables for projects and proposals.

Your Key Responsibilities:

* Design complex electrical systems for high-performance buildings, data centers, and mission critical facilities
* Lead projects and a team of electrical engineers to deliver high-quality results
* Develop and maintain client relationships, collaborating with internal and external design, client, and construction team members
* Participate in local professional organizations, attending meetings, lectures, and conference programs

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical building systems emphasis
* 12+ years of experience in designing electrical systems for high-performance, commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings
* Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
* Experience mentoring and training others in the field
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to interact well with others and develop high-quality technical and professional deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:

* Enhancing credentials (LEED, Uptime ATD, etc.) preferred
* Experience with analysis and modeling of short circuit coordination and arc flash studies
* Mission Critical/Data Center experience
* Experience with international projects and knowledge of international codes and standards
