Core Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administers medications in accordance with the scope of practice and hospital policies.Evaluates, interprets, and documents the physical and mental status of patients.Identifies patient care needs by establishing rapport with patients and their families, working collaboratively to address care requirements.Encourages patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care practices.Ensures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against established goals.Maintains a safe and hygienic work environment by following established procedures and protocols.Safeguards patient confidentiality and maintains continuity of care through accurate documentation.Enhances professional knowledge by participating in educational workshops and engaging with professional networks.Completes annual competency and regulatory training.Contributes to team objectives by achieving results as measured by established performance metrics.Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of various medical equipment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills along with critical thinking abilities.
  • Capability to administer medications in line with established policies.
  • Familiarity with National Patient Safety Goals.
  • Ability to interpret laboratory and diagnostic results in relation to patient status.
  • Effective communication skills across disciplines using SBAR.
  • Proficient in multitasking.
  • Exhibits a courteous, compassionate, and positive demeanor.
  • Clinical competencies in Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Nursing Skills, and Health Promotion.
  • ED/ICU Requirement: ACLS; MED SURG AREAS Requirement: BLS; College Diploma in Nursing Required.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • College Diploma in Nursing required.
  • 0 years of experience required.
  • Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse.
  • Certification in Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation required.
