Project Manager - Global Tooling & Engineering Projects

Are you a driven leader with a passion for overseeing high-impact engineering projects? We're looking for a Project Manager to lead global tooling and engineering development initiatives from customer orders through final approval.

You'll be collaborating closely with both internal and external teams, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & Inspire: Provide technical and team leadership, driving excellence across our tooling and engineering teams.
  • End-to-End Tooling Management: Oversee tool design, fabrication, and approval for molds, jigs, gauges, and more. Manage internal and external partners to meet project goals.
  • Global Collaboration: Make strategic make/buy decisions and manage global partners for tool design and build.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement robust processes for tooling evaluation, project planning, and execution.
  • Resource Management: Ensure adequate capacity for tool designers and builders, aligning resources to meet project timelines.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with production, purchasing, customer service, and engineering teams for seamless project execution.
  • Risk & Performance Management: Lead forecasting, risk analysis, and performance tracking to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
  • Smartsheet Expertise: Oversee Smartsheet usage, including the design and use of project templates for smooth workflow management.

What You Bring:

  • Engineering Expertise: Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years in injection molding and tool design.
  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years in a supervisory role, with a strong ability to motivate, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Project Management Skills: Mastery of project planning tools like MS Project and Smartsheet; PMP certification preferred.
  • Hands-On Approach: Strong analytical skills and the ability to lead by example, with hands-on involvement in tooling projects.
  • Exceptional Communication: Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a collaborative environment.
