Bachmann Chemical and Engineering is a leading innovator of advanced-performance materials for UV/EB energy, light, and other free-radical cure applications. Our company is based out of Torrington, Connecticut, with a global presence.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our talented team as a Reactor Operator for our Torrington CT facility. The successful candidate will safely produce batch adhesives and oligomers formulations that meet quality, ISO, safety and internal control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate industrial mixing and powerlifting equipment by setting and controlling mixing parameters to work instructions.
• Promote warehousing and material handling best practices by safely and efficiently transferring raw materials from delivery vehicles to warehouse storage to reactor workstations.
• Maintain a secure, healthy, clean, ergonomically sensitive, productive workplace by practicing safe handling procedures and following SDS, EH&S, and HazMat requirements.
• Employ best practices in inventory management by using first-in-first-out raw materials controls and accurately recording inventory transactions.
• Create robust work batches by utilizing Work Orders and SOPs, accurately measuring and processing chemical ingredients in the production of finished formulations.
• Reduce quality errors by investigating and determining sources of errors and continuously improving practices and 6-sigma protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced credential preferred.
• 3+ years' work experience in material processing, batch formulations, or chemical manufacture.
• Proficiency with computer programs – Inventory Management software, and Microsoft Office.
• Good math and organization skills.
• Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50lb.
• HazWhopped training preferred.

Salary: $23 + per hour. Hours: Monday - Wednesday 6a-6p, Thursday 6a-12p.
