Overview
The Ladders is in search of a seasoned Senior Accounting Operations Manager to lead all daily accounting functions and enhance our policies, procedures, and internal controls. This pivotal role reports directly to the Finance Director and collaborates closely with various operational teams throughout the organization. The dynamic nature of this position is perfect for a highly proficient technical accounting expert who excels in a rapidly evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily accounting operations, including consolidations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, standard and non-standard accruals, purchasing/POs, prepaid expenses, fixed asset accounting, expense reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly allocations.
  • Take ownership of the month-end and quarter-end closing processes, global consolidation, and account reconciliations; ensure all schedules are current and maintained in an 'audit-ready' state, proactively addressing any outstanding items to guarantee complete and accurate consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Generate variance analyses and explanations for key P&L and balance sheet accounts, assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, including regular updates on expenditures versus budget.
  • Support audit processes by reviewing supporting documentation and conducting various analyses.
  • Manage tax and business compliance activities at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Collaborate regularly with department leaders to ensure timely and precise accounting processes and drive improvements across the overall workflow.
  • Assist in the research of technical accounting matters as necessary, applying appropriate accounting treatments for journal entries and gathering audit evidence.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process enhancements proactively, documenting procedures to achieve efficiency and scalability.
  • Contribute to special initiatives, including system implementations, new policy development, and cross-functional challenges.
  • Support ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years in an accounting management role.
  • Experience with Netsuite is essential.
  • Strong analytical abilities, exceptional organizational and time management skills, and the capacity to work independently are required.
  • Professional judgment and the ability to engage with various levels of management are necessary.
  • In-depth understanding of GAAP accounting principles is required, along with familiarity with international accounting standards.
  • Experience in the SaaS sector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of audit preparation and tax compliance is important.
  • Experience in preparing and reconciling accounts such as cash, prepaid and other assets, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, compensation, vendor, and other accruals is essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas, is required.
  • Exceptional work paper organization, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly synthesize and analyze data are critical.
  • A positive, proactive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to achieving results are essential.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
