The Emory University Hospital Surgical Specialties Team is seeking highly skilled Anesthetists to join our integrated academic healthcare system. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of surgical cases, including vascular procedures, surgical oncology, and general abdominal procedures.
Responsibilities- Assist in the administration of general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical procedure patients.
- Perform initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in life-threatening situations or as directed by a physician.
- Interpret and record patient's physiological and pharmacological status, assist the Anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data.
- Assist in research projects as carried out by an Anesthesiologist.
- Establish multi-parameter monitoring of patient prior to, during and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations.
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master's Degree program.
- Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia.
- Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
- Must maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs).
- Competitive salary range: $198,000 - $230,000 per year (for Full Time, 1.0FTE) based on years of experience as an Anesthetist (CRNA or CAA).
- Eligible for extra duty pay, overnight shift allowance, CME time-off & allowances, Student Loan Repayment program.
- 37 days of PTO (for Full Time 1.0FTE), Benefits coverage, including PTO accrual, will begin from first day of employment.
- Life Insurance & Retirement Program options in addition to various Health, Welfare, Wellness benefits.
- Paid Parental Leave to benefit-eligible employees with six months of service.
- Professional Liability Insurance including Tail Coverage from start date.
