Pharmacist - Inpatient Pharmacy

At Providence Health & Services, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care to our patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting. As a member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate filling of prescriptions and orders, providing pharmaceutical care and information to patients and healthcare professionals, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients in an inpatient setting, including medication therapy management and patient education.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate filling of prescriptions and orders, including verifying patient information and medication orders.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and improve medication use.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with current pharmacy practices, laws, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Current Washington State Pharmacist License.
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, preferably in an inpatient setting.
  • Training in pharmaceutical care and patient education.
