Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Air National Guard Units. The successful candidate will serve as an advisor to commanders on assigned unit human resources programs, interpreting policy and providing procedural guidance to commanders, supervisors, and staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on human resources matters, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for human resources programs, including career enhancement, personnel employment, and casualty service.
  • Manage and maintain human resources data systems, including automated and manual records.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff members on human resources policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with commanders and supervisors to resolve human resources issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least one year of specialized experience in human resources, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff members, commanders, and supervisors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a military or government environment.
  • Certification in human resources, such as SHRM-CP or HRCI.
