Job Summary

Maintain a smooth workflow, organization, and continuity of prescription processing in our pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and respond to pharmacy phone calls, identifying and retrieving medications accurately.
  • Process prescription refills using the ScriptPro workflow software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Pack and print receipts for prescription delivery to stores, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Maintain the appearance of the pharmacy, including signage, vacuuming, and emptying trash, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Perform maintenance on the ScriptPro automated dispensing system, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Fill ScriptPro cells under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Conduct accurate inventory cycle counts, ensuring accurate inventory levels and order points within the dispensing software.
  • Check in, sticker, and shelve daily orders, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
  • Assure and/or perform returned to Stock procedures accurately, ensuring seamless inventory management.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and order points within the dispensing software, evaluating purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Order special items from McKesson Connect, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Order and maintain supply levels, printing and processing manifests for store order shipping.
  • Enter invoices and credits into the DSD log, then file invoices and credit memos, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to distinguish between duties that only a pharmacist can perform and technician responsibilities, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Review weekly invoices and deliveries for accuracy in the PI0300 report, ensuring timely and accurate financial management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Friendly, helpful, and outstanding attitude.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Proficient in math calculations.
  • Multitasking ability.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Keyboarding skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computers.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook/Email, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
  • Effective communication skills with the Pharmacy Team and customers.
  • Knowledge of medication types and terms.
  • Knowledge of state laws and regulations pertaining to pharmacy.
  • Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year previous experience in a community pharmacy.
  • Successful completion of Shared Services Pharmacy Technician Training.
