Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The Golub Corporation. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services, providing exceptional customer service, and working closely with our licensed pharmacists to prepare prescriptions and resolve customer inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide fast, friendly, and helpful service to all customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience and customer satisfaction
  • Obtain information for new prescriptions, including insurance and coverage details, date of birth, name legibility, phone number, and address
  • Answer phones to obtain prescription refill information, refer patient questions and concerns to the pharmacist, and answer questions regarding third-party billing issues
  • Retrieve drugs and related products from stock for pharmacist use and display
  • Store drug products according to pharmacy policy, including temperature requirements and security protocols
  • Control inventory for over-the-counter products and comply with all company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic mathematical skills and aptitude, as well as good spelling and reading abilities
  • Ability to read and write at the 8th grade level and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Pharmacy experience and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
Physical Requirements
  • Bending, grasping, and finger movement for 5-8 hours
  • Lifting up to 10lbs occasionally for 1-3 hours
  • Sitting, standing, and walking for 5-8 hours
